As Dean of the Academy of Law of Suffolk County, Judge Sachs helps support continuing legal education for the local bar. He has also taught judges and attorneys through state and national institutions.

His community work includes participating in student mock-trial programs and welcoming young people into the courtroom to learn about law and civic responsibility.
